8:30 am School gates open for all
8:40 am School gates close
School finishes at 3:15 pm
Nursery AM starts at 8:45 am and finishes at 11:30 am
Nursery PM starts at 12:30 pm and finishes at 3:15 pm
After school clubs finish at 4:30 pm
School Organisation
We are a three form entry school, which means there are three classes in each year group from (Reception to Year 6). All of the teachers and support staff work as a team, to ensure that the children receive a broad and balanced curriculum including all statutory requirements.
Teaching support assistants support across year groups, helping individual children and small groups with all aspects of their school life.
At the beginning of the academic year we hold a parent and child meeting for each class.
At this meeting the class teacher sets out exactly what you are to expect within the year your child is in their class. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and build a relationship with your child’s class teacher.
During the Autumn and Spring term we invite parents to have one to one meetings with their child’s teacher. During these meetings, the teacher will be able to explain how well your child has settled into the academy and what their behaviour is like.
At this point the class teacher will also share information regarding your child’s progress. You will be informed about your child’s attendance and the class teacher will also share ideas of how you can support your child at home and what your child needs to focus upon in order to progress through the remainder of the year.
These meetings are also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have and to look at the books in depth.
End of term report
You will receive an end of term report that summarises the achievements that your child has made and the skills that they have acquired during the academic year up to that point. The report will also include what your child needs to concentrate upon in order to make further progress.

If there is anything that you are unsure of then please make an appointment to see your child’s class teacher. We aim to work with parents as a team – that is what benefits the children most.
